Do you offer space for private events or group bookings?
Yes - both our cosy Stübli (a separate, enclosed private room for up to 28 guests) and the entire restaurant can be booked exclusively for private or corporate occasions. Ideal for birthdays, Christmas dinners, weddings, or company celebrations. We are also happy to open on Mondays for private groups upon request.
Inside the Stübli, there's a large round table with a throne-like chair - perfect for smaller or larger gatherings with a special flair. This table can be reserved independently of the rest of the space and offers a unique atmosphere for celebrations or cosy get-togethers.
Are you open on Mondays?
We are usually closed on Mondays. However, we're happy to open for private events or group bookings on request.
Do you serve game dishes?
We're known for some of the best game dishes in Zurich - served every year from early October to the end of December. Our game is sourced exclusively from the Zurich Oberland and delivered directly by local hunters.
Highlights include:
- Sliced venison with Spätzli
- Saddle of venison with classic sides
- Creative nose-to-tail dishes
- Rotating wild specials like terrines or game sausages
What is the Cordon Bleu Festival?
From January to mid-March, we host our Cordon Bleu Festival with both classic and original variations. A highlight is the Tomahawk Cordon Bleu made from apple-fed pork, as well as versions with quail or veal.
Do you offer a Metzgete?
Yes - every September we celebrate Metzgete over two evenings with traditional specialties like blood and liver sausage, boiled pork, Rösti and apple compote. Homemade, regional, and reinterpreted in true Drei Stuben style.
Which traditional dishes are available year-round?
In addition to seasonal specialties, we serve Swiss classics all year long: calf's liver, Cordon Bleu, roasted baby chicken and farmer's sausage. Each dish is interpreted with lightness and freshness - authentic but modern.
Do you serve brunch?
We're considered one of Zurich's best brunch spots - every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. with lovingly prepared classics and small surprises.
Brunch highlights include:
- Our Croque Royale - a warm croissant sandwich with egg, ham, bacon and cheese
- Our brunch étagère with sweet and savoury bites
- Rösti croquettes with truffle and chives
- Homemade mini sausages in pastry
Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. In good weather, we serve brunch on one of the most beautiful garden terraces in Zurich.
Do you offer a business lunch?
From Tuesday to Friday, we serve rotating seasonal lunch menus - ideal for business lunches in a relaxed and stylish setting. Whether it's something light or a classic menu, we make it easy to combine work and pleasure.
What kind of cuisine can I expect at Drei Stuben?
Our kitchen is down-to-earth, seasonal, and carefully prepared. Classics like saddle of venison, calf's liver or Cordon Bleu are given a fresh and lighter twist.
During mushroom season, we regularly use freshly foraged wild mushrooms. You'll also often find wild herbs, flowers or forest fruits from the surrounding area featured on our menu.
Guests appreciate our honest cooking, thoughtful wine selection and warm, personal service - authentic Swiss, but never old-fashioned.
Who is behind the kitchen at Drei Stuben?
Our head chef Corin Schmid brings solid culinary experience from Switzerland and London. She worked with the team of Anton Mosimann - one of Switzerland's most influential chefs - and now represents a modern, authentic Swiss cuisine with her own signature style.
What makes Drei Stuben special?
Drei Stuben is located in a historic Zurich townhouse in Kreis 6 - close to the centre but away from the noise. Every Thursday evening, the Swiss Student Association (SSS) still meets in the Stübli - a tradition that has shaped the warm, welcoming and social spirit of the space.
Our restaurant is often named one of Zurich's most charming and best addresses: with personal service, regional cooking, creative ideas and one of the city's most beautiful inner gardens.
Is Drei Stuben wheelchair accessible?
The entrance is step-free, but unfortunately the restrooms are not fully wheelchair accessible. We appreciate your understanding.
Do you have baby changing tables?
Yes - changing tables are available in both the women's and men's restrooms. Families are warmly welcome.
Are there parking spaces nearby?
We do not have private parking, but there are public blue and white zones directly on the street nearby.
Can I buy gift vouchers?
Yes - our vouchers can be purchased online and printed out immediately. A perfect gift for birthdays, Christmas or just because. You can choose any value.
Do you offer vegan or gluten-free options?
Yes - we offer both vegan and gluten-free dishes. Please let us know when reserving or on-site so we can accommodate your needs.
How can I make a reservation?
The easiest way is online through our website. Of course, you can also call us. Walk-ins are welcome too, but we recommend booking in advance - especially in the evenings or on weekends.
Do you offer catering for private or business events?
Yes - we offer catering upon request: for apéros, corporate events or private parties at home or in the office. Whether for delivery or on-site support - we're happy to tailor it to your needs.
Who is behind Drei Stuben?
Mark Thommen, born in Australia to Swiss parents, has led Drei Stuben for several years with passion and a strong sense of quality. His stations include Quay Restaurant Sydney (World's 50 Best), Hayman Island Resort, Dolder Grand, Widder Hotel, Maison Manesse (1 Michelin star), and international experience in Dubai, China and Japan.
Together with head chef Corin Schmid - who cooked under Anton Mosimann in London - he represents a cuisine of substance, warmth and intention, rooted in craftsmanship and regional inspiration.
